Light The Night brings communities across Canada together for one magical evening to share stories, remember loved ones lost and pay tribute to our heroes, bringing light, love and hope to dispel the darkness of blood cancers.
In 2002 I was diagnosed with CML. At that time it was a rare form of blood cancer, especially in young females. The more years that have passed, the more diagnoses we hear of. We have learned that many people were unable to survive this cancer due to the lack of medication to fight it. With current medication that was approved for Canada in 2000, here I am in 2021, living each day with a smile. I’m feeling so lucky to have the option to take a medication that keeps me alive! I am forever grateful to those that continue to donate and contribute to these developments! Keep spreading your support, kindness and love. It’s not just me that benefits from this, there are so many others fighting for that daily smile!
