Gracious Hearts

Gracious Hearts started in 2020 during the pandemic. The team walks in support of Emily and Grace, two Hodgkins lymphoma survivors. The team walks in support of both Grace and Emily, and others in the blood cancer community.

Grace was diagnosed in 2020, with stage two Hodgkins Lymphoma, after a routine biopsy after open heart surgery for an unrelated condition. Today Grace is in remission, which isnt something that everyone gets to experience; But because of research towards the cancer community, and fundraisers such as Light the Night, you get to support people like me; lets work towards ending all blood cancers and cancers alike.

you can read Grace's full story here:

Emily Outhit, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in November 2020. Today, because of the research the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada funds, Emily can say that they have been in remission for over a year. Thank you so much for helping Gracious Hearts and enabling the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada to continue to help individuals like Grace and me.

Goal

Gracious Hearts is participating in Light The Night Halifax on October 22 to fight blood cancers.

We’re proud to support the blood cancer community through Light The Night.

Blood cancers are the fifth most common form of cancer in Canada, affecting more than 155,000 Canadians—our family members, our friends and neighbours, our colleagues, ourselves. But together, we can shine a light toward a future without blood cancers.
