Welcome to my fundraising campaign!
I am extremely honoured to be this years Light the Night Honoured Hero and do not take lightly what this role represents. I feel so privileged to be part of this incredible cause and am determined to make as big an impact as possible in the fight against blood cancers.
Light The Night is the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada’s largest fundraising event of the year, uniting supporters across Canada on October 21st to bring light to the darkness of cancer and inspire hope.
Next year marks my 20-year milestone since being diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukaemia - 20 years! To commemorate this occasion, my BHAG (big, hairy, audacious goal is to raise $20,000 for blood cancer research, advocacy, and patient support services.
To achieve this, I will be participating in the Spartan Trifecta in Seattle on September 16th and 17th. Over 48 hours, I will be completing three separate races, totalling 40+km and featuring over 75 obstacles. Movement has been my biggest medicine and it only made sense to GO BIG as the Honoured Hero this year! In addition to my own efforts, I would love for you to join me and take part in your own fitness challenge while joining my team to fundraise.
There are two ways you can help:
Join My Team:
- Train alongside me and complete your own Spartan Race by achieving 40km on your own time before October 21st. Click the "Anna's Team" button at the top of the page, and then "Join the Team" to register as a fundraiser.
- Download the Strava app on your phone and sync it with your fundraising page to track your distance. Your activity can be running, walking, biking, or even swimming!
- Start tracking your distance!
Donate:
- Click "Donate to Anna" at the top of the page to make a direct contribution and help us reach our $20,000 goal in support of the blood cancer community.
With your generous support, let's raise awareness and essential funds for the LLSC and their vital work. Together, we can provide much-needed assistance to patients, families, and caregivers, as well as fund research that will lead to improved treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
