Niño & Lisa's Team

In 2019, our lives changed forever. Niño was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The road ahead was filled with uncertainty - months of chemotherapy, a stem cell transplant, hospital stays, and the emotional weight of it all.

But we faced it together.

Lisa became the anchor of our family - juggling hospital visits, caring for our two young children, and supporting Niño through every high and low. Even our dog, Dexter, was battling cancer at the same time. Somehow, through it all, she showed up every single day with strength, grace, and love.

Today, Niño is in remission. We’ve made it through the darkest days, and now we move forward with hope in our hearts.

This year, Niño has the honour of being named Light the Night Vancouver’s Honoured Hero. We’re walking to celebrate that journey - to shine a light on the love that carried us, to support those still in the fight, and to remember the ones we've lost.
