To Friends, Family and Work Colleagues,
This will be my 14th year associated with Light the Night Fundraising Event in Halifax. Over the last 9 years I have been a part of IMP Solutions, and our team has raised over $220,0000 in that period. I have personally raised over $40,000 of that. Our team and company have pivoted to another cancer fight (breast cancer) as one of our team members (Leah) is fighting that fight. So, I will be a team of 1 this year.
Last year my dad passed after dealing with both bladder cancer and leukemia. As I said last year, there is such irony with Dad having this very difficult cancer at the end of his life after I have spent 14 years doing the fundraising and the walk for the same cancer(s). The universe works in different ways, I guess!
It is a great cause and on October 26th the City of Halifax will be doing the walk. Last year Halifax surpassed $1M in fundraising for the first time and our goal is to do it again.
