On August 3rd, 2022 my world was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with blood cancer. I fought hard and in January 2023 was declared in remission!
Research around blood cancer is constantly evolving. In fact, my hematologist has said that if I was diagnosed with my type of blood cancer even just 5 years earlier or 1 year later my treatment plan would have looked incredibly different.
Somebody is diagnosed with blood cancer every 24 minutes in Canada and they all deserve a fighting chance at surviving this deadly illness.
