So, I've signed up to be a Chicken for a day (creative is still workshopping the name) and I couldn't be more thrilled about the reason behind it and the worthy cause it will support!
On August 24th, my teammates and I will be participating in the Battle for Blood Cancer charity fundraising pond hockey tournament.
My personal goal is to raise $500 (and not hurt myself!) I'm donating $150 toward my goal, and I would be truly grateful and appreciative of any support you may be able to provide to this worthy cause.
Our fundraising platform is in partnership with Light the Night, another LLSC event that happens in October... so if you see reference to me walking in the text here anywhere, know that it's related to that event - my intent for this one is to try and skate and keep up with the faster and younger players.
Any donation, no matter how small is appreciated!

Light the Night
Light The Night is a special evening where communities across Canada come together to honour those we've lost, celebrate survivors, and show support for everyone affected by blood cancers. Its a time filled with remembrance, love, and hope—a reminder that no one goes through this alone.
Blood cancers are the fifth most common cancer in Canada, impacting over 155,000 Canadians, including our family members, friends, neighbors, and colleagues. I’m taking the first step to show my support, and I’d love for you to join me. Together, we can shine a light toward a future without blood cancers.
