In March of this year I had a spinal MRI for a back condition. When reading the results the radiologist spotted a mass in my abdomen and recommended an urgent CT. The next day I had a CT followed by a biopsy and in late May, a diagnosis of Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma - an aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin?s Lymphoma, a blood cancer that attacks the body?s B cells.
I started chemo on June 13th and am now finished a 6 round protocol. So far my response has been good and I hope to be in remission by the time the event takes place on October 18th. Our team, The Remission Mission is comprised of friends and family who have been so supportive throughout this journey.
