Team Simmer - Light the Lamp
Light The Night is a special evening where communities across Canada come together to honour those we've lost, celebrate survivors, and show support for everyone affected by blood cancers. It's a time filled with remembrance, love, and hope - a reminder that no one goes through this alone.
Blood cancers are the fifth most common cancer in Canada, impacting over 155,000 Canadians, including our family members, friends, neighbors, and colleagues. I'm taking the first step to show my support, and I'd love for you to join me. Together, we can shine a light toward a future without blood cancers.

As many of you know Jaxon was diagnosed with B-cell ALL Aug 13,2025. His treatment will continue until Dec 19,2027.
When people ask us how they can help we would like folks to support our fundraising goal for further research into blood cancers. Many people don't know that blood cancer research serves as the primary proving ground for oncology because liquid tumoursare highly available (samples are from the blood).
This accessibility means major are breakthroughs in oncology are discovered in blood cancer research and can be adapted to treat other cancers.
