En octubre, mi Mamá - Flor de Maria - cumplirá 5 años de fallecida de un cáncer de linfoma. En su honor y a la persona generosa y amorosa que fue, voy a caminar - Light the Night - en Ottawa con mi familia. Los amigos que quieran acompañarnos son bienvenidos para honrar su memoria. Ella siempre fue nuestra inspiración para que algo bueno surja del dolor y la tristeza.

In October, it will be five years since my mother passed away from lymphoma cancer. To honor her memory and celebrate the generous and loving person she was, I will be participating in the - Light the Night - walk in Ottawa with my family. We warmly welcome friends who wish to join us in honoring her legacy. She was always our inspiration, showing us that something good can emerge from pain and sadness.

Light The Night is a time for communities across Canada to come together in a heartfelt evening of remembrance, love, and hope. It's a chance to honour those we've lost, celebrate our heroes, and stand with those currently living with a blood cancer, reminding them they are never alone.

We're taking the first step to show our support, and we'd love if you joined us. Together, we can shine a light toward a future without blood cancers.
