Mark's Team Blue
My girls have participated in Light the Night during their high school years and now we do the walk together with our wonderful family and friends!
On Mark's very first night at the Cross Cancer Institute we watched a promotional commercial for Light the Night. The event, which we had not known of before, impacted Mark tremendously. One of his greatest hopes was to walk, with a white survivor's lantern, at the event the following year. It broke our hearts that this would not be, but what we can do now, is honour Mark, and walk together.
Our goal is to raise funds and awareness for blood cancers, in memory of Mark, who passed away 12 years ago from a very rare type of Lymphoma.
Mark is greatly missed by us all. We are, Mark's Team Blue.
