Dearest Friends and Family,
I have once again joined the fight to end blood cancers by registering for this year’s Light the Night!
As many of you know, my daughter Erin was diagnosed with AML in 2018, right as she was beginning university. It was a long and scary road. She had her stem cell transplant in January 2019 and is now in remission. Erin is lucky to be a survivor, but many people are just beginning their battle against blood cancer. I will not allow them to fight alone.
Pandemic or no pandemic, blood cancers do not stop, and researchers continue to need funding.
Since October 2019 I have been dedicating my time and efforts to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) in order to help find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and Myeloma. The LLSC are also helping to support thousands of patients and their families who are facing the diagnosis of blood cancer. Light The Night is how the LLSC generates the lion’s share of funding for their research and community programs.
Last Year Another Day Another Dollar raised $13,100!!!!
I want to continue to help find a cure for blood cancers, and I want to give hope to all those families that are currently fighting this battle.
We are not all doctors or researchers, but we can all do our part to help.
From the bottom of my heart - thank you for your support,
doing your part and helping me do mine.
Together we can put an end to blood cancers.
