Light The Night Toronto

Team Jroberts Manufacturing Inc.

Dear Customers and Vendors:

Each year Jroberts Manufacturing Inc. commits to supporting worthy causes in our community – this year our mission is more personal as cancer has hit close to home. My nephew Max is 15 years old and in June 2022 he was looking forward to the end of the school year, summer was in the immediate future. He was excited to be at his cottage, working his summer job and soaking up the sun! His biggest worry was how often he would come back from the cottage to see his friends and girlfriend. However on June 18th his whole world changed when he was diagnosed with blood cancer. He was now in the fight of his life against a terrifying unknown. Max has been incredibly brave and strong, taking everything in stride. He has found a resilience in himself that he didn’t know was even there. However at age 15, Max shouldn’t have to be brave and strong he should be playing hockey, going to school and hanging out with his friends and cousins. Max just wants to be a 15 year old who worries about the typical things 15 year old’s worry about. We are so proud of his courage and strength with which he fights this beast. We long for the days when all we have to do is remind him to get ready for school, hockey practice and to stop arguing with his brother. Max is one tough kid, and we are honoured to fight along side him.

This year we ask you to help us support a very worthy cause.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLSC) is Canada’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to finding cures and improving the quality of life for those affected by blood cancers. The advances we have made, in a relatively short period of time, are significant:

Doubling, tripling and even quadrupling 5 year survival rates for blood cancers since the 1960s

Serving 27,400 patients and families who reach out to the LLSC each year

Engaging a network of > 100,000 Canadians who believe in our mission

Blood cancers are the fifth most common form of cancer in Canada, affecting more than 155,000 Canadians—our family members, our friends and neighbours, our colleagues, ourselves. But together, we can shine a light toward a future without blood cancers. Light The Night brings the blood cancer community together for one magical evening to share stories, pay tribute to our heroes, bringing light, love and hope to dispel the darkness of blood cancers!

We’re proud to support the blood cancer community through Light The Night.

Everyone is affected by cancer at some point in their lives, either directly or through a family member or friend.  We therefore know how essential support can be to the fight.  EVERY 24 MINUTES, a Canadian is diagnosed with a blood cancer this is why Jroberts Mfg is turning to companies like yours for the much-needed help to battle this disease.

In order to support this cause, we are asking for donations to sponsor our team. To donate online please visit: online, please go to: https://secure.llscanada.org/site/TR/LTN/Ontario?team_id=7660&pg=team&fr_id=1357

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
