6 Years ago, Glenda was told she was in remission - only 67% of people diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) attain remission and about 25% survive past 5 years. So ... celebrating 6 additional years of blessed life is something to be incredibly grateful for.
That’s why as Glenda celebrates 6 years of remission, we also remember those who have lost their battle, those fighting for their lives right now and those who have yet to be diagnosed. We fund raise so that researchers can continue ground breaking research into the treatment of blood cancers (many of which are now used in other cancer treatments). We fund raise so patients and their families can get the resources they need and the support they require.
For the second year, we will be celebrating across Canada as one community to Take Back The Light, on October 23, 2021, with a national broadcast and local events across the country.
COVID-19 has significantly impacted people affected by a blood cancer.
This is why I’m taking the first step and showing my support!
By making a donation, YOU can be the voice that speaks up, the hand that reaches out and the light that can help accelerate blood cancer cures.
Thank you for supporting the blood cancer community and Taking Back The Light that cancer & COVID-19 have tried to take away.
