Let's give blood cancer the finger - for Alayne!
Alayne was my neighbour, always ready with a zinger or a perfectly inappropriate comment. She lit up the room (or arena, or any space she made her way into). I hadn't seen her in person in a few years, but she brought joy to my Facebook feed... From her hilarious hijinks ranging infiltrating the World Juniors to exposing her brother's tighty whities, she never felt far away.
Tragically, complications from Leukemia have cut her life short and her feed has gone silent. So in her honour, I'm going to make some noise and raise some money to keep other people's lights shining! Light The Night brings communities across Canada together for one magical evening to share stories, remember loved ones lost and pay tribute to our heroes, bringing light, love and hope to dispel the darkness of blood cancers.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada supports patients and their families battling blood cancers and funds important research to help treat and cure many types of cancers.
I am taking the first step and showing my support. Please help me reach my goal of raising 1000$ in Alayne's honour!
