Light The Night brings communities across Canada together for one magical evening to share stories, remember loved ones lost and pay tribute to our heroes, bringing light, love and hope to dispel the darkness of blood cancers.
Sara was diagnosed with AML(Acute myeloid leukemia) just after celebrating her 23rd birthday. Sara was already a mom to her 6 month old son, and had just married her sweetheart too. Life should have been full of laughter and hope for the future.
Instead, she began a battle with Blood Cancer!
Sara received a visit from a volunteer from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society while in the hospital - she listened to the personal battle this person waged against Blood Cancer and all the things that were being done to put this beast behind everyone, and she was inspired! Sara stated that no matter the outcome of her war with the awful disease, she wanted the fight to carry on - and that is what We are doing!
We are Team Riser because Sara Rose Up to Face Blood Cancer face to face and toe to toe every moment she had! She is a warrior and we honour her by our committment to take up the Fight!
Please donate today and help us put this ugly disease where it belongs - in the Past!
