Light The Night is an event that brings communities across Canada together in support of blood cancers.
As a second-year PhD student in systems biology at the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC) and the University of Montreal, I am taking the first step and showing my support.
My project focuses on drug resistance in childhood acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
I chose cancer research as it has impacted mine and my family’s lives in many ways, as it has to many people in Canada and around the world.
I believe that medical research is very important as it can help patients receive better treatments!
