Light The Night brings communities across Canada together for one magical evening to share stories, remember loved ones lost and pay tribute to our heroes, bringing light, love and hope to dispel the darkness of blood cancers.
The campaign aims to raise $1.2M this year in Quebec.
That's why I'm taking the first step (running!) to show my support! I have set myself a challenge to run my first marathon (42.2 km) and I am committed to raising $422.
I have loved running since I was a teenager. I discovered running in high school and was a member of the cross-country team after school and I took part in the Quebec Provincial Games for the 5km race.
What I love about running is the freedom it provides and the beauty of nature. I love running outside, rain or shine, and for me, running is my escape! I enjoy different styles of running, both trail running in the mountains and running on bike paths. I have always run for fun, without ever having participating in a "real" organized race so this marathon will be a first experience and challenge on many levels!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me and my team Courir pour guérir. Together, we can make a difference!
