In November 2021 I was diagnosed with Hairy Cell Leukemia, and I was fortunate enough to have successful chemotherapy which has, for now, given me the opportunity to carry on a normal life. Many people have much more aggressive forms of blood cancer, so I feel it is incumbent on people like me, who have been very lucky, to help in some way those who are less fortunate.
I retired from the RCAF in January 2024, and I have a long-held dream to explore across this great nation and will now have the opportunity to do so. During the spring and summer of 2024, I plan to travel coast to coast and back again on my Honda CRF300L Rally motorbike. I want to use this opportunity to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.
