Light The Night brings communities across Canada together for one magical evening to share stories, remember loved ones lost and pay tribute to our heroes, bringing light, love and hope to dispel the darkness of blood cancers.
I am taking the first step and showing my support.
It has been exactly 1 year since lymphoma and leukemia came into my family and friend’s lives with a vengeance. First my niece received a diagnosis with lymphoma in 2023, and successfully endured 6 months of chemotherapy to beat the disease. Then in 2024, my uncle also received a lymphoma diagnosis and is currently undergoing treatment. And in the past month one of our dear friends received a major set back with his chronic myeloid leukemia, which requires a battle through intensive treatment for quite some time.
I am beyond proud of the bravery these special individuals have showed through their illness and their journey to wellness, as well as their vulnerabilities. It is clear it is a tough path for them to walk down, and a small thing we can do on the sidelines is fundraise for more research and better treatments that will focus on curing these diseases. Any amount small or large is something I am grateful for - and together we can make a difference. Please consider supporting this special cause that is now near and dear to my heart.
Much love to you all,
Julie
