I recently had the privilege of celebrating 13 years cancer free. After completing 6 months of chemotherapy every 14 days I walked into the cancer agency on August 17, 2011 hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst. I was one of the lucky ones who got to hear "you are in remission". The goal was simple during treatment, beat cancer so you can watch your children grow. They were 5 & 1 at the time and now 19 & 15.
I am grateful for the past 13 years and optimistic about the future. I committed that day to supporting the cause in whatever way I could for others. In the past 13 years through the generosity of family, friends and co-workers we have raised over $62,000.
Our goal in 2024 is to raise an additional $5k.
