In September 2020, Christina passed away peacefully and we lost Christina to the cruel aftermath of leukemia and its treatments. I lost my partner of almost 30 years but I did not lose hope. During her 17-year journey dealing with the disease and the harsh side-effects of its treatments, Christina and I came to terms of the likelihood that we may not get to grow old together but we kept our hope.
Now I keep the hope of finding the cure to blood cancers by continuing to support LLSC and Light The Night. Meanwhile, we will continue to see advancement in treatments for patients and support resources for patients and caretakers.
Without Christina, our team can no longer be Team ECL hence we are renamed as Let's Remember Christina. We vow to carry on in honour of Christina's memory and to celebrate her legacy as a wonderfully warm and genuinely kind person.
