Come Together to Support Light The Night Vancouver
Every year Light The Night unites communities from all over Canada for an evening to share stories, remember loved ones lost, and pay tribute to our heroes. This gathering brings light, love and hope to combat the shadows cast by blood cancers.
I am taking the first step in raising funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) to show my support for this incredible cause.
My wife T, is a dedicated nurse in the VGH leukemia in-patient unit. She sees firsthand the challenging journeys of many patients who often spend at least a month, if not longer, in the hospital for treatment and recovery. The emotions patients have - shock, nervousness, sadness - from their diagnosis and the uncertainty of what lies ahead, and the battle doesn't end even after leaving the hospital.
By getting involved in Light The Night, we not only pay honour to those who have fought and continue to fight these illnesses but also contribute to vital research and patient support services. Your contribution regardless the size will help bring us closer to a world without blood cancers.
