Another year, another Light the Night fundraising campaign!
I am a blood cancer survivor since 2018 receiving a stem cell transplant, and a relapse blood cancer survivor since 2021 receiving the new CAR-T treatment. So, when I tell you that fundraising to support research that finds better treatment works? IT WORKS! My relapse was so much better than my original diagnosis, due to the donations that helped the researchers discover CAR-T therapy.
After being posted to a new province, buying a house, starting a new job and getting a puppy, I found myself very very busy this summer. As we approach the fall though, I thought to myself - I am not so busy that I can't support blood cancer research, that I will never be too busy to help eliminate blood cancer.
That is why this year, I am not doing big asks, I am not doing a big event, all I am doing is asking for 5 minutes of your time and whatever you can spare to donate to this crucial cause. Whatever you can do - spread word, donate, advocate - I greatly appreciate!
Let's stop blood cancer already eh?!
