I was diagnosed with CLL and had a life-saving Bone Marrow Transplant on July 9, 2009. Thus, I am excited to be celebrating my 15th anniversary. I participated in the first Light the Night walk in Ottawa in October 2010 (also the first anniversary of my BMT) and have participated every year but one - usually as a team captain or by joining another team when I was not well enough.
Light The Night brings communities across Canada together for one magical evening to share stories, remember loved ones lost and pay tribute to our heroes, bringing light, love and hope to dispel the darkness of blood cancers.
I am taking the first step and showing my support.
