In Fall 2020, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, my dear friend and Team Brilliant Buffalo Captain, Paula Hall, was diagnosed with blood cancer. We prayed that this new mother would live to see her new baby, Bennett, grow up. She fought hard and is still with us today, leading the way, charing the storm. She is our Buffalo.
We join her in advocating for those impacted by this disease by raising funds for blood cancer research.
“Cows run away from the storm while the buffalo charges toward it – and gets through it quicker. Whenever I’m confronted with a tough challenge, I do not prolong the torment, I become the buffalo.”- Wilma Mankiller
Light The Night brings communities across Canada together for one magical evening to share stories, remember loved ones lost and pay tribute to our heroes, bringing light, love and hope to dispel the darkness of blood cancers.
I am taking the first step and showing my support.
