Light The Night brings communities across Canada together for one magical evening to share stories, remember loved ones lost and pay tribute to our heroes, bringing light, love and hope to dispel the darkness of blood cancers.
I am taking the first step and showing my support.
As many who are reading this may know, I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in November 2020, shortly after moving from Vietnam to Ecuador. I decided to stay in Ecuador for my chemotherapy treatment, as it was risky to go back to Canada during the pandemic and I had the treatment available to me there.
I was lucky enough to be in remission by March of 2021, and it was then that I made the decision to go back to Canada to get a stem cell transplant in Kingston, Ontario, in July of 2021.
Ever since I was diagnosed, it has been my hope to bring more awareness to not only multiple myeloma, but all blood cancers. I share my story openly, in hopes that others will connect, and understand.
I would appreciate any support you are willing to give as I raise money for Light the Night, where I will be speaking on September 28 in Kingston. And if you can join the event, I would love to see you there!
