Light The Night brings communities across Canada together for one magical evening to share stories, remember loved ones lost and pay tribute to our heroes, bringing light, love and hope to dispel the darkness of blood cancers.
Kelsey’s journey started in 2020 when she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She had to have a laminectomy (spine surgery) to remove a tumour compressing her spine. After four rounds of chemotherapy she was in complete remission. After 12 rounds she was done. All through chemo she stayed in school, attending UofL taking Biochemistry part time. She then switched to Nuclear Medicine Technologist at SAIT. She is almost done her year long practicum in Saskatoon at Royal University Hospital. Kelsey has accepted a full time position in Calgary as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist starting in September. It is her wish to give back and be an empathetic health care provider, as she had many wonderful workers who cared for her when she was sick.
