Why do I fundraise? I fundraise to celebrate my second remission of chronic lymphocytic leukemia after completing a two year course of targeted therapy. This therapy would not have been possible without recent research into blood cancers. I also fundraise to honour my mother's and uncle's journeys with blood cancers.
“You have blood cancer” is something no-one should ever hear. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada’s "Light the Night 2024” means HOPE to me. This campaign helps fund exciting research into targeted therapies, and provides critical programs and services that help support patients every step of the blood cancer experience.
