This past July, one month after my brother Joel's wedding, he was diagnosed wih Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. After getting sick the week of his wedding his symptoms never cleared and his persistent, now wife Melissa, encouraged him to get checked instead of waiting for his family doctor who was away at the time. We are so happy Joel took Mel's advice when he did because he needed a drain put in his heart from fluid building up. This was the start of getting his diagnosis of Lymphoma. He started chemotherapy soon after and as of today, Sept 24, he has had 2 round of chemo, and 4 more to go. Unfortunately for the Iannace family this cancer diagnosis really hit home because our beloved Nonno passed away last summer from a blood cancer. Last fall we were raising money in memory of our Nonno and now we are raising money to support our Brother Joel. Joel has already lost his hair but he is keeping a good sense of humour about it, getting Mel to draw Homer Simpson cartoon hair onto his head. Please walk with us, donate if you can, and support Joel in this event to Light up Night to support all those battling Leukemia and Lymphoma.

Goal
Sarah is participating in Light The Night Calgary on October 19 to fight blood cancers.
I’m committed to supporting the blood cancer community through Light The Night.
Blood cancers are the fifth most common form of cancer in Canada, affecting more than 155,000 Canadians—our family members, our friends and neighbours, our colleagues, ourselves. But together, we can shine a light toward a future without blood cancers.
