Every fall, I fundraise for Light The Night in support of blood cancer research, and each year, my dedication to the cause evolves, as more and more people in my life have been affected by the disease.
It started with my nana who passed away from lymphoma when I was just a girl... for cousin Lindsey who is now a Chronic Leukemia survivor ... for Uncle Dennis who has beat lymphoma... for Maddie, my good friend's daughter, who had to grow up too fast because she had to endure years of pain, isolation, chemotherapy after being diagnosed with an Acute Leukemia at only 8 years old... for Jaime who is currently battling lymphoma and is one of the strongest warriors I know.... and for alllll the other incredible people I have met along the way....
Light The Night celebrates cancer survivors, honours those we’ve lost and gives hope to those facing blood cancer. The money raised helps fund research and critical programs and services that help support Canadians at every step of their blood cancer experience.
I need your help to make a difference. Please consider donating what you can.
