Light The Night brings communities across Canada together for one magical evening to share stories, remember loved ones lost and pay tribute to our heroes, bringing light, love and hope to dispel the darkness of blood cancers.
This year, the fundraising campaign aims at raising 1.4M$ for Quebec!
It seems I’ve been running all my life! Running, walking, swimming – anything to keep me moving! Being active is part of who I am, and it has helped me to handle, over the years, the stress of health issues, teenagers, an intense career, an upside-down world, and aging. When I exercise, the stress disappears, replaced with serenity and peace of mind. Over the years, I have participated in many physical endurance events, including a couple of marathons. But the best events are the ones where I participate for a cause.
Again, this year, I am very pleased to be part of this team, participating in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada's "Light the Night" charity event. What an awesome cause!
Again, this year, I am very pleased to be part of this team, especially with the challenges facing our team leader Marianne, who is the bravest person I know, changing the name of our team from “Courrir pour guérir” to “Guérir pour courrir” (“Run to Heal” to “Heal so we can run).
I have challenged myself to run alongside my husband Gerry Mak in a 10-kilometer race on October 6th in Granby this year to collect funds for this cause.
Thank you for supporting me and my team.
