In May of last year, my mother-in-law, Carolyn, was diagnosed with leukemia. During sixteen long months, she fought relentlessly against the cancer, despite the many hardships along the way. Sadly, she passed away on August 6th 2024.
Before her passing, Carolyn expressed her desire to raise money for and participate in the Light The Night fundraiser walk as a means of giving back to the community that had helped her all along her journey.
In order to fulfill this wish, we ask for your help by donating to the cause. All contributions are welcomed and appreciated. The family, myself included, will participate in the walk later this year in honor of Carolyn's memory.
Light The Night brings communities across Canada together for one magical evening to share stories, remember loved ones lost and pay tribute to our heroes, bringing light, love and hope to dispel the darkness of blood cancers.
