Light The Night brings communities across Canada together for one magical evening to share stories, remember loved ones lost and pay tribute to our heroes, bringing light, love and hope to dispel the darkness of blood cancers.
To show my support, I've set myself the challenge of running my longest Ultra-Trail distance of 80km and +2,150 meters of ascent, in Charlevoix on September 7, 2024.
I've loved running since I was a teenager. In Secondary 5, I took part in the Jeux du Québec in Cross-country. What I love about running is the freedom and nature. Running in the forest is for me synonymous with escape. I enjoy different styles of running, both trail and road. After running my first marathon in 2022, I'm continuing my progress with this 80km mountain running challenge.
This type of crazy challenge represents an opportunity for me to go beyond my limits and develop my resilience. I feel privileged to be able to run at this level, and I'm inspired by people who are going through the cancer experience, because in their own way, they have to achieve an even greater challenge... TO SURVIVE.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support of my crazy project, and your support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.
