Help us bring dignity to those living with cancer and the survivors of cancer.
As you may know my family was first, and very intimately, introduced to cancer with the leukemia diagnosis of my sister Suneeta in 2002. She battled with the disease and had many victories along the way. Unfortunately, those many good days did not overcome the cancer within her and she passed away at the age of 15.
Throughout our journey with Suneeta's treatment and the many times that cancer has affected my family since, I have been witness to the tireless dedication of hospital staff, doctors, researchers (in and outside of the hospital) and everyone who tries to bring dignity to those affected by cancer and a cure to the disease.
Why am I raising money? To bring vital research to pediatric cancer care. Could this help bring a cure to cancer – definitely. Can this do a lot more in the interim – most certainly.
Novel research allows us to develop new treatment methods that can allow children like Suneeta to take certain treatments from home and with less painful side effects. That can mean a birthday in the family kitchen, blowing out candles surrounded by school friends instead of the play room at the hospital. It can mean hot chocolate and a slumber party vs. the quiet sound of nurses' footsteps at 2:00am.
Every donation that you make helps us cure cancer and bring dignity to those afflicted with it today. Help us make a difference. Donate today.
