A Visionary: someone with the confidence to amplify their voice to speak for those unheard.
Join me in supporting Christine Lefebvre, and the Purple Warriors, as we embark on our fifth consecutive Atlantic Region title with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) by donating to our Visionary of the Year 2025 campaign!
My Why
In 2002 I was diagnosed with CML. At that time it was a rare form of blood cancer, especially in young people. The more years that have passed, the more diagnoses we hear of. We have learned that many people were unable to survive this cancer due to the lack of medication to fight it. With current medication that was approved for Canada in 2000, here I am 23 YEARS later living each day with a smile. I’m feeling so lucky to have the option to take a medication that keeps me alive, and be a peer support person for others through the LLsC First Connect program!
I am here to help support where I can, because I can!
I’m here to support in lieu of others that are no longer with us, their grieving families or simply for those that are going through a really tough time and don’t have the means to support right now!
My Ask
Please consider donating! Donating is fast, easy, and yes, tax deductible. I am forever grateful to those that continue to donate and contribute to these developments. Keep spreading your support, kindness and love. It’s not just me that benefits from this, there are so many others fighting for that daily smile!
Aside from donating, you can help in other ways like spreading the word! Share my candidate page link with friends, family and colleagues who would also like to help end blood cancers and support the blood cancer community.
Thank you for supporting me and the rest of the blood cancer community during Visionaries of the Year!
