Who nominated me and why that was special:
I was nominated by Charlie Raymond, VP of Operations at Steele Auto Group. Charlie is someone who I consider to be a mentor, and to be recognized by him as an individual who can take on such an important role is incredibly empowering.
My Why for participating:
I am participating in honour of my grandfather, who passed away with blood cancer. Each dollar raised for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada funds important research and support programs that improve outcomes for those impacted by blood cancer; helping families remain together and supporting them through their experience. Since my grandfather’s passing, there has been incredible progress made in blood cancer research. I want to do my part to help support this progress.
What I'm most looking forward to getting out of the 10 weeks:
During the 10 weeks of the campaign, I look forward to working closely with the incredible staff, volunteers and donors who give their time and resources to improving the lives of those impacted by blood cancer, as well as hearing the stories and experiences of how the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada has helped so many through challenging times.
What I'm most look forward to achieving together as a team:
As a team, we look forward to raising awareness and resources to help raise the profile and impact of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canda. We aim to achieve a record-breaking fund-raising campaign!
