I've made the decision to become a Visionary of the Year candidate because I'm deeply committed to building a brighter future for our children. As a father myself, I was deeply troubled to learn that blood cancers rank as the number one diagnosed cancers among children. What's even more concerning is that despite advancements in targeted and immuno-oncology drugs for adults, very few of these successes have been translated into effective treatments for childhood blood cancers.
That's why organizations like the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society are so vital. They're leading the charge in funding pediatric blood cancer research, allocating over one million dollars annually to this critical cause. This commitment to pediatric research is unparalleled among non-profit organizations, and it's a cause that resonates deeply with me—and I believe it's something we can all rally behind.
As a father, I'm determined to do everything in my power to support efforts to find better treatments and ultimately, cures for childhood blood cancers. By joining forces with the Visionaries of the Year campaign and supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's groundbreaking research, I'm confident that together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families affected by these devastating diseases.
