There’s nothing more rewarding than giving back and making a difference in the lives of people in this great community. Giving is the greatest act of grace.
At the start of every year, I write down 3 things that I hope to accomplish in the coming months.
My 2023 goals included:
- Focus on health and wellness
- Create lasting influence in my community
- Support charities through leadesrhip giving
So, when I was nominated for the Visionaries of the Year campaign with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC), I accepted the challenge without hesitation!
This cause is close to my heart. I have lost close family and friends to cancer and have friends who are currently battling. Unfortunately, my story is not uncommon. As you read this, I’m sure you have thought of your own family, friends, colleagues – who have been impacted by cancer.
This is where the LLSC comes in. The work LLSC has done over the years is incredible, but they wouldn’t be able to do so without the support of the community. We have the privilege to give back in memory of those lost and in support of those still battling.
My fundraising goal is big, but the need for life-enhancing research is bigger. With your generosity, we can fund research that will find a cure in our lifetime.
Did you know that chemotherapy and immunotherapy are both a result of blood cancer research? Donating today supports all cancer patients.
Thank you for your generosity and support. Together, we are one step closer to a cure.
