Advocacy has been my guiding light in all that I do. Throughout my career, I have continually stood up for what I believe in. From career mentorship to accessing healthcare, I believe that change comes when we speak up for those around us.
Joining the Visionaries of the Year campaign was a no-brainer. It is another way to stay true to my core values. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) is an incredible organization which supports anyone affected by cancer through life-enhancing research, support services and advocating for their needs.
From helping people living with blood cancer self-advocate in their appointments to raising awareness of system gaps, we are working to ensure no one is left behind. This is the work I believe in. This is the work that builds community. This is the work which ensures no one faces a cancer diagnosis alone.
This work is more than just a profession; it's about building a community that supports one another and ensures no one faces a cancer diagnosis alone. By coming together, we can create a significant impact on healthcare for all. From now until May 30th, I invite my community to join me in this mission. Let's rally around the cause and ensure our loved ones, neighbours, and colleagues are well-supported. Together, we can make the world a better place for everyone.
