Honouring his legacy. Taking action for a cure.

Please join me, my family and my friends as we collectively fundraise to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada on behalf of the one and only - Jimmy D. Starting March 23rd, 2023, we are embarking on a 10-week fundraising ‘competition’ between business leaders in communities across Canada. The funds raised will help propel critical research, provide services and advance advocacy efforts for people with blood cancers.

As many of you know, I have direct lived experience. My late husband - James Dinneen - affectionately known as “Jimmy D” was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in December 2002 and passed away on October 28, 2003. For 10 months he fought this brutal invisible cancer to no avail. Adding a seemingly impossible layer to his tragic story was that his biological mother passed from the same cancer when he was just 2 years old. 

I fight and I raise funds in his honour. For his legacy. For the 2 beautiful children I had with him. Every dollar raised from March 23rd to June 1st equals one ‘vote’ for our team. The candidate, who alongside their team,  raises the most funds will win the title of “Visionary of the Year”.  But most importantly, every dollar goes into finding a cure and supporting this cancer that affects so many. This is why we are here.
