Dear All,
It is with excitement and sadness that we are proud to be involved with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, combining our fundraising efforts to support life-changing research.
Back in 1997, we lost our wonderful sister, Dana Brown, to Leukemia after a very courageous battle. Dana was an incredible Mom to 2 year old Kaitlin, and a joy to all who knew and loved her.
Fast forward a quick 5 years to 2002 and my good friend Blair lost his beautiful wife Gail to the same deadly disease, Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Gail was Super-Mom to 3 wonderful children, all 5 and under at the time, tough times indeed.
Although it has been many years, it still feels like yesterday, so when this wonderful opportunity arose to further get involved to raise funds, it was an opportunity that we did not hesitate to say yes to. We decided we would use our combined efforts to try to “knock it out of the park” and raise a staggering $200 000. We chose this number as a lofty goal, as we know it will be properly directed and will go a long way towards Research and Development.
With your help, our goal is to advance a cure, so many individuals and families can avoid the pain and heartache that so many have experienced.
We hope you (your friends, associates or companies) will dig deep and continue with your generous spirit and hit the “Donate” button for Team Dana and Gail. Our families plus our LLSC Family truly appreciate your generosity.
We greatly appreciate your support.
Dean & Blair
