Toronto Tech for Leukemia Volleyball Tournament Hosted by: Shannon Millar-Hopkins and Lawrence Levinson, Executive Leadership Committee members for Light The Night Toronto.
For Shannon, A Leukemia Survivor - Light The Night represents hope. Shannon is passionate about making a difference and giving back to the blood cancer community. Inspired by the support she received from the tech community upon her diagnosis, Shannon, is thrilled to launch this volleyball tournament in support of blood cancers.
The unbelievably touching stories of heroes like Lawrence's father Michael, Shannon, Vlad Croitoru and #TeamRivs, inspire him to serve the community and champion campaigns aimed at defeating blood cancers once and for all. Knowing that more than half of Light The Night funds raised are thanks to the involvement of Executive Leadership Committees, Lawrence is fired up about this tournament and can't think of a better way to bring amazing humans together for an amazing cause!
The goal of the tournament is to raise $40,000 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. This tournament is in support of Light the Night Toronto, which will be held on October 22, 2025 at Liberty Grand. This year, Light The Night Toronto’s vision is bold we believe we can find a cure for blood cancers #InOurLifetime with YOUR help. We hope you can join us!

- Where: Ballsports Polson Pier (The Docks), 176 Cherry Street, Toronto

- Format: 14 teams, 6x6 (no maximum), 15 minute games

- If you have an existing login from a previous event, enter your user name and password. Otherwise, select "Join as a New Participant"
- When renewing or creating your team page, there is an option for "Is your participation associated with a National team? If yes, select from the list below.". Click the option and select "Toronto Tech for Leukemia Volleyball Tournament" as your national team. This will ensure you appear on the leaderboard.
- Continue through the registration process. Once the registration is complete, you should receive an email notification confirming the registration.
