Battle for Blood Cancer 3 on 3 Hockey Tournament of Hope
Battle for Blood Cancer, 3 on 3 Tournament of Hope is an inclusive, co-ed, pond hockey style tournament taking place on Sunday August 11th, 11am-6pm at Scotia Barn, Burnaby 8 Rinks. This volunteer-led initiative seeks to embrace the grassroots nature of pond hockey, providing an exciting, fun and engaging way to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. We raised over $28,500 last year for the blood cancer community and our goal is to raise even more this year!
It’s a lot of hockey, it’s high scoring and low risk hockey since most don’t wear full gear, and it is inclusive for beginner and intermediate hockey players. Players can also expect some great prizes and incentives!
Interested? Send an email to battleforbloodcancer@gmail.com and we’ll get you set up for the tournament! It is $50 per player to register (your registration fee will be added to your fundraising and you will receive a tax receipt), $250 fundraising minimum per player or $300 per team to register and a total of $1250 per team of 5-6 players. As long as your team hits the $1250 mark, that's all that matters. All players are encouraged to fundraise but it's the team fundraising total that counts. Upon registering you will have a customizable fundraising page with a unique URL to share in your network to raise funds.
