"When you hear the words: Your child has leukemia, how do you begin to process, accept and navigate a blood cancer diagnosis? Every cancer journey is unique, but the journey is much more than the daunting and exhausting tasks of deciding on treatment and the physical toll it takes. It’s also mental and emotional as well. While resources exist to help manage some of these issues, many are not addressed and those in need are often unaware or unable to access or some even unable to understand the information available to them. During Jerric’s journey with leukemia I often looked for one resource that was adaptive, could connect me with other patients, families and survivors and personalized to target our individual and changing needs with blood cancer."
