Working in the non-profit sector for over 13 years, I truly have come to appreciate all of the hard work and dedication it takes to make a difference in society. As a volunteer for several causes and organizations throughout the years, I can attest that the work done by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) is imperative to the advancement of the blood cancer community. It is a privilege for me to have been nominated for this year’s Man of the Year campaign!
Like many others, I know several individuals who have been affected by this terrible disease. Their stories are ones of unrelenting courage and their experiences are arduous. They are genuine and inspirational people who in turn have inspired me to take part in this campaign. In some small way, I hope to contribute in furthering research and bettering the lives of those impacted.
