For 7 years now our family has been celebrating Light with Emily’s Entourage raising over $120,000 so that we can build a future where no child or family has to endure what ours had to.
Emily is now 12 and her cancer is in remission. But years of treatment have taken a toll on her and there’s a little bit of fear that you live with for the rest of your life. The emotional, physical and cognitive effects of cancer treatment can impact kids for years, even the rest of their lives.
Thanks to your support last year LLSC was able to fund $4.6M of life saving research and support to people impacted by blood cancer. They also introduced a NEW Pediatric Blood Cancer Research Innovation Grant. This grant is important as in the last 30 years only 4 oncology drugs gave been approved for the use in children.
